Caring for your new ceramics

Handmade wheel-thrown ceramics require specific care to ensure their longevity. Here is your comprehensive guide to maintaining your pottery safely.

We use food safe glazes and fire our clay to ensure your safety when eating off our pieces.

The glaze helps strengthen the clay and protect from chips, but it will not prevent them completely so do be careful with your new ceramics.

Our pieces are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe but be careful when taking your ceramics from one temperature extreme to another (eg: hot to cold). Sudden temperature changes can cause thermal shock and cause your piece to crack.
